About the Authors

Prof. S.P. Ruhela, the pioneering sociologist of education, value educator, teacher educator, futurologist of education and spiritualist, was Professor, Head and Dean of Education in the Himachal Pradesh University and Jamia Millia Islamia (Central University), New Delhi. He has been keenly interested in observing all the various educational developments in India ever since the Education Commission (1964-66) was in progress.

Prof. Ruhela had officiated as Vice-Chancellor of the Jamia Millia Islamia four times. He specializes in Sociology of Education, Sociology of Indian Social Institution, Sociology of Nomadism, Sai Baba spiritual movement, Basic Education, Educational Technology, Teaching of Social Sciences and Futurology of Indian Education. He has written over 50 books and guided 22 doctoral researches in Education. He has been a Member of the Programme Advisory Committees of the NCERT and the NIΕΡΑ, New Delhi.

Prof. Raj Kumar Nayak is a young, energetic and scholarly teacher educator, speculating in philosophy of education, value education and the contemporary problems and issues in Indian education. He is author of six books on Education and co-authored two books with Prof. Ruhela; National Educational Policy and Development: Today and Tomorrow and Value Education and Human Rights Education (Vol. I)
