About the Book

About the Author
Nirmala, J. received her doctorate degree from the University of Madras, Chennai. Dr. Nirmala’s educational journey traverses across areas such as economics, psychology, education and guidance and counseling. She has a background in teaching at primary, secondary, and tertiary levels and in leadership roles relating to curriculum building in educational psychology, child psychology, cognitive psychology, and guidance and counseling. She taught in many universities in Tamil Nadu and also at Eritrea, a northeast African country. At Eritrean Institute of Technology she was the head of the Department of Educational Psychology and was the Academic dean in-charge of College of Education. Dr. Nirmala is known for her lively, conversational way of presenting psychological concepts to lay audiences. She has extensive experience in designing and customizing training modules. She conducted training programs for students, teachers, parents, industrial employees, and NGO’s and organized national level and state level seminars and workshops. Presented research papers in various National and International Conferences. At present she is teaching at Stella Matutina College of Education and is the coordinator of Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Guidance and Counseling Cell.
