PREFACE

Life is nothing but journey to find the realities of life. We are far away from truth. That is not hidden. We have to develop our skills with help of knowledge and experience. Education is best source of knowledge. It is well said when Allan bloom says that

“Education in our times must try to find whatever there is in students that might yearn for completions, and to reconstruct the learning that would enable them autonomously to seek that completion.”

History is philosophy teaching by examples. Philosophy, on the other hand is directly related to wisdom, which comes essentially from learning – a social process. It occurs through interpersonal interactions within a cooperative context. Individuals, working together, construct shared understanding and knowledge. Life in modern time has been changed. The place for moral values is decreasing day by day. Philosophy can change the outlook of the human personality. Indian darshan has unique place in the whole world. We give stress on spiritual aspect which is everlasting in itself. We have to create our inner strength on the behalf of knowledge so that one can lead peaceful life on this hell where nobody could be satisfied. It is said by Linzey, Andrew “Moral education, as I understand it, is not about inculcating obedience to law or cultivating self-virtue, it is rather about finding within us an ever-increasing sense of the worth of creation. It is about how we can develop and deepen our intuitive sense of beauty and creativity.”

This book encompasses all that and more. It helps in the inculcation of values, that which inspires human beings to practice Ahimsa and compassion to all creatures. Let us all strive to understand that all human beings are miserable because of their own ignorance, and they themselves can be happy by acquiring proper knowledge. The greatest mistake of soul is non-recognition of its real self and can only be corrected by recognizing itself.
