Preface

The main aim of the present work is to provide a handy textbook of Educational Management to the B.Ed. and M.Ed. Students. We, by virtue of our rich experience have made the subject matter concrete for the course on Educational Management and rendered it crystal clear in the present book carrying the title ‘Educational Management’. We do not boast of originally with regard to content of the book but we collected the matter from various sources and on account of long attachment with my student teachers we have tried to realize their needs and requirements. We also believe that the book will satisfy the requirement of B.Ed. ad M.Ed. students doing their courses in Tamilnadu Teachers Education University and other Universities in India.

The several aspects of educational management are discussed in this book. This book provides a roadmap for all teachers and educational authorities, not only in day to day running of a school but also in relation with the community and the educational authorities. This book may be indispensable for all those concerned with the practical aspects of educational management.

However we do not mean to say that our work is all complete with the publication of book. To enrich the content of the various topics dealt with here in this book and make it more comprehensive we earnestly look forward to receiving comments, criticisms and suggestions from all those who desire for a good teacher education programme.

We should thank our beloved son Joshua, and our beloved daughter Jene for patiently undergoing all inconveniences caused to them till the completion of this book. We extend our sincere thanks to our beloved mother S.M. Mariammal for her encouragement in initiating this academic endeavour. And finally we thank God Almighty for showering His graces abundantly throughout our life.
