Our Policy in Brief

At Bookman, we sell teacher education and NCERT books. Since books are physical goods that cannot be reused once read, we do not accept returns for buyer’s remorse or change of mind.

We will only process a return or refund if the book you received is physically damaged or is a different title/edition than what you ordered. In those cases, we take full responsibility.

What We Accept & Don't

Please read this carefully before placing an order or raising a return request.

We Will Accept
  • Book arrived with physical damage (torn pages, broken spine, water damage)
  • Wrong title or wrong edition delivered
  • Missing pages or severe printing defect
  • Book not delivered but marked as delivered
We Will Not Accept
  • Change of mind or no longer needed
  • Wrong title ordered by the customer
  • Book already read, highlighted, or annotated
  • Damage reported after 48 hours of delivery
  • Syllabus mismatch due to customer not checking before ordering

How to Raise a Request

If your order qualifies under our policy, follow these steps to initiate a return or replacement.

1. Contact Us Within 48 Hours of Delivery

WhatsApp or email us with your Order ID and a clear description of the issue. For damaged books, attach photos showing the damage clearly.

2. We Review & Confirm Eligibility

Our team will review your request within 1 business day and confirm whether it qualifies. We may ask for additional photos if needed.

3. Return the Book (if required)

For approved cases, we will share a return address and arrange pickup or reimburse courier charges. Pack the book securely in its original packaging.

4. Replacement or Refund Issued

Once the returned item is received and inspected, we will send a replacement or process your refund within 7–10 business days.

Refund Timeline

Approved refunds are credited to the original payment method. Timelines depend on your payment mode:

  • UPI / Net Banking: 3–5 business days after return confirmed
  • Credit / Debit Card: 7–10 business days depending on your bank
  • Cash on Delivery (COD): Refund via bank transfer — please share your account details when raising the request

Return Conditions

For a return to be accepted and processed, the following conditions must be met:

  • Return request raised within 48 hours of delivery
  • Book is in the same condition it was received — unused, no new damage from the customer’s end
  • Original packaging and invoice included with the return
  • Photos of damage or wrong item shared at the time of raising the request
