The present book “Teaching of Social Sciences” has been written keeping in view the needs of the students doing graduate degree in education i.e. B.Ed. The present book covers the syllabus of B.Ed. of all the universities of Haryana. Syllabus of various other universities of India has also been included in it.

As the present book is written primarily for B.Ed. students, utmost care has been taken to make it simple, brief and interesting. Various methods, concepts, skills etc. have been explained with suitable illustrations examples. Diagrams, maps and figures have been given, wherever necessary. Questions are given at the end of each chapter for revision, exercise and practice.

Works of various educationists and scholars have been consulted and quoted while writing this book. We are grateful to them.
