Preface
The present book “Pedagogy of Physical Sciences” is developed according to the actual needs and expectations of the trainee teachers. Keeping this ideology behind, the pedagogy and content knowledge was totally prepared as frienally approach of learning without leaving any trivial matter. It is useful for other Universities of Telangana as well as other states, as the syllabi are based on NCTE Core- curriculum Guidelines. As there is scarcity of quality material available in English medium which is in accordance with the new syllabus, this maiden attempt is made to benefit the candidates in their preparation and support the process of quality teacher education and teachers entry into the schools.
In this book, focus given on the meaning and importance of science in general and physical sciences in particular, the contributions of the scientists are elaborately presented. The details of different values, aims, objectives and especially the Instructional Objectives Anderson, Krathwhol, Simpson and Revised Blooms Taxonomy of Educational Objectives in Physical Sciences are clearly expressed.
How to teach in the classroom conditions to a teacher is very important. More emphasis on the approaches/methods/techniques is given; a glance of teaching the content from class VI to X with the usage of resource material and Academic Standards, Year Plan, Unit Plan, Model Period Plan presented in a tabulated format.
This book is helpful for everyone who loves the passion of teaching. All efforts have been made to put this book in the hands of the people who are appearing within the shortest time possible. It is hoped that this book would meet their expectations and help them in all possible ways.
