Preface

In this age of cyber and digital technology, the system of edu- cation has witnessed a sea-change in transaction of the educational process both at school and teacher education levels. The teaching- learning pedagogy and classroom scenario demand today a great deal of technological intervention to meet the various needs of life. At present teacher-centered learning has yielded place to self- directed student-centered learning. There is a need to investigate the impact of new technology on the prospects and prospective of schooling through the fast budding media revolution over the de- cade.

The present book ‘Pedagogy of Computer Science’ has been written according to the latest syllabus of various universities. This book has been designed to serve document for bridging the gap between traditional and modern approaches to teaching. The main features of this book are its simplicity, easy language, flow dia- grams and well organised contents. We hope, this book will prove useful both for Pre-service and In-service Teachers.
