Preface

Information & Communication Technology (ICT) in Education is creating rippling effect on the society, system of education, pedagogy and all other related fields of education.

If the present e-learning, virtual classroom, teleconferencing and video conferencing be tapped appropriately, the world resources and the best teaching, best knowledge, best resources will be available at the fingertips of all our learners and teachers. They get a wonderful, easy, high quality of education without much difficulty.

Teaching learning process is going with face to face and ICT needs to be imbibed into the adult generation’s attitudes & create, 21 century skills amongst learners. As a great futurologist Alvin Toffler said that an “illiterate of the 21″ century will not be the one who cannot read and write but those who cannot learn, unlearn and relearn”.

The present book intends to extend a helping hand and give directions for learners i.e. budding teachers to gain insights into ICT. This is going to be an absolute reality in the mere future. It helps to learn, use and internalize the ICT skills into their life and teaching-learning process ICT, then would be utilized as a pedagogical tool in every day’s curriculum transactions.

Authors kept in mind the prescribed course of ICT in Education, (10 units) of B.Ed. curriculum while organizing the material to acquaint student teachers and also teachers to utilize this material as a reference and build their teaching by exploring further from time to time with updated concepts and updates in each area.
