Preface

The authors are feeling elated on presenting this enriched and totally

amended version of the book “Educational Technology and ICT”. A total of

five units have been added to this new edition and some old topics have been

rewritten with the introduction of new material in them, and they have been

fully amended.

This book has make an endeavour to include all data available in books, research papers and research journals up to the recent times.

This book has been divided into five units. In them, new material in the concepts of educational technology, teaching strategies, common techniques, communication technology, teaching-learning system, systems approach, distance education, modification in teacher behaviour etc. have been included. This book is an outcome of the endeavour to make the book conform to the curricula of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCET) and other universities. The old chapters too have been rewritten completely and their dimensions have been expanded.

The suggestions given by Mr. Vinay Rakheja worked as guidelines in the modification of this book. We pay gratitude for making suitable arrangements for publishing the book on an urgent note.

The readers are invited to send their suggestions without any hesitation to further improve and modify the book. These suggestions will be incorporated in the next edition of the book.
