Preface

The National Council for Teacher Education framed a new syllabus for learners and teacher educators from the academic years of 2015-2016. We reviewed how important understanding of oneself is. The very purpose of having psychological foundations in education is to develop desirable attitudes towards the psychology of learners at the different stages of life and to develop, thereby, the subtle professional competencies in the prospective teachers to function rightly and responsibly. As per the syllabus the book has been designed, to make the learners comprehend the topics given in a lucid manner.

Theoretical concepts and the new topics are clearly included, along with sociological concepts with the help of research papers. This book deals with all the important facts and principles related to Learning. Psychological Characteristics, Research Methods, Child Growth and Development, Socialization, Creativity, Educational Issues and Solutions related to Children with Special Needs.
